SPOILER ALERT: Books 1 and 2, up to Book 2 Part 8.
Two things hit me like sacks of grain dropped from a mezzanine today:
Number 1: Thomas Keane, Declan Sullivan's old first mate, is most definitely a seaman aboard John's ship. (I very much envision Tommy Flanagan representing this character). After the events of Wolves Will Eat, this man who was best friend to John's late father now feels a kind of responsibility to watch over a young man he sees much like a Godson, so he joined the U.S. Navy. I am so excited about how this old salt/firebrand midshipman relationship will develop with the extra tether of familial bonds thrown in the mix.

Number 2: Rune, AKA Aruna Taigar Pair "The Tiger Foot", is most definitely in the book. How, you may ask, given his tragic death at the hands of the Chronicler? Hint: Read Chapter 27 in Wolves Will Eat.
As usual, the access media navel gazes about the possible reasons for "superhero fatigue" while assiduously ignoring their best research resource: their audience.
